A baby born with four arms and four legs is said to be in stable condition after the extra limbs were surgically removed.
The baby - a boy born April 2 in Huizhou, Guangdong Province, China - was born with a headless parasitic twin joined at the torso, China's Global Times reported.
Surgeons in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, removed the extra limbs April 11.
The baby also suffers from pneumonia and congenital heart disease, according to the Global Times.
His father, identified only as "Mr. Chen" by Chinese media outlets, told ImagineChina that he blames himself for his son's deformity.
"I only cared about my work," he said. "I just thought of making money instead of taking her to the hospital for a medical checkup."
Chen said that his wife had five routine examinations at local clinics during her pregnancy, but none indicated any abnormalities.
