They mess up. They break our hearts to only be filled with regret when we are sick and tired. And they sometimes want us back. Cause you don’t know a good thing till it’s gone, right fellas? Right. I’ve had a guy “win me back.” Or at least attempt to. Elijah and I had an off-and-on relationship for two years with a year-long break. I was over it, or so I thought. He wasn’t. Elijah said he wanted to rekindle the flame. I wanted to start from scratch, build trust and intimacy and more trust. But Elijah wasn’t into doing things my way. He wasn’t putting in enough effort, and so our relationship was left on the cutting room floor. Only this time, it was I who shattered a heart. This is exactly where Robin Thicke is headed with Paula Patton. He wants her back, y’all! His album, Paula, is even titled Paula so he can win her (Paula!!!) back. Will it work? We’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, here are six of the worst ways that a guy can get a girl back. Here are six of the worst ways that a guy can get a girl back.
1. A music video
Especially if it’s a terrible one. And Robin Thicke’s is bad. He’s cut. He’s hurt. He’s a bad, bad man. He’s drowning. Wait, she’s drowning?! But come back to me, Paula! Yup. That won’t work.
2. Demanding she take you back on your terms
This is what Elijah did. It was his way or no way, and he was the one who messed up in the first place. Men, if you follow his lead, you’ll end up just like he did — without your former lady.
3. Not taking responsibility
If you messed up, admit to your mistakes. Sure, it takes two to tango, but don’t expect her to share the blame when you are trying to win her back. Just take it like a man. Admit your wrongdoing and don’t do it again. False promises will leave you in the outs. Again.
4. Stalker status
That’s on Facebook, over text, on Twitter, and on Instagram. As Alan said, stay away from “constant text messaging, constant waiting-for-you-outside-of-your-home-or-job … stalking!” Cause it’s kind of scary!
5. Groveling will get you nowhere
That’s because women love men with confidence. Yes, admit that you are wrong but don’t come at her like a puppy doll. Show your woman that you have changed. Don’t beg for forgiveness and then repeat the same mistakes.
6. Asking mutual friends for help
Richard warned men not to “beg a mutual friend for info.” Leave her girlfriends out of it. You messed up so you must do the work! Hopefully, you can get your lady back. If not, count your losses and stay way from musical instruments. Go get your girl back...nkt Do you Agree?

There was a man who loved his wife very much. The couple had 3 children. He could give her everything he could but the woman never appreciated. Though the man was not rich, but he could share all he had with her. He could buy for her clothes and the only thing his wife could say was that the husband was fulfilling his duty as a Man. The man would buy a dress but in reply, the woman would mock at him, because the dress was of low quality. The man could smile at his wife and tell her "one day, I will become rich and I will buy for you all the expensive things you need" The woman could never make any phone call unless she was requesting anything from her husband and once her request was not granted, all she could do was to quarrel for days, sometimes fight. One evening, the man was coming from work, he bought a Kilogram of meat, happily the poor man expecting to suprise his wife, he reached home found the wife and showed her the package, Then she shouted: "eh! And you call yourself a man? Which husband, apart from you, do you think comes home with just one kilograme, no cooking oil, no anyother ingredients? You better leave it, ur a good-for-nothing husband." Then she threw the meat to the bush and went back home. The Husband felt low but he never let down his love for her. One day, the husband felt pain in his left foot, then a Tumour appeared on the foot, it then emerged growing big and more painful. He went to the hospital after several months of pain and was found with cancer, he was poor to have a better medical care. Though he was sick he tried much as he could to provide for his family. Two years later the condition worsened and he was put in the special care unit, he was operated and the foot was removed, but unfortunately it was too late, the Virus had affected more parts of the body and at last he called his wife and told him, "LOOK AFTER MY CHILDREN, i feel i can't live any longer though i'll always be with you in spirit, may God be with you" He then breathed his last and died. The woman, and three children cried, for days mourning, they buried him. Two months later, the wife was bowing down on her husbands grave as she said these words: "My love, you did all the best to me, you treated me well and gave me all you could, but all i could pay you, was endless quarrels and fights. I never realised your importance and your love until when you are gone, when am the one to provide food, clothing, education and many others. I remember when i threw your one Kilogram of meat to the bush, but now i have nowhere to get even a Half a Kilo 'THE GOOD DIE YOUNG' thats why you died when you were still young. A husband whom i could mock at but you only smiled at me. The husband who could care and had unending love. I know you are listening to me and i ask you to forgive me for not appreciating all ynu did to me, when you were alive. We are all missing your presence as your youngest daughter Diana is always crying asking when you'll be back. But you will never leave our hearts until we Join you. May you Rest in Eternal Peace." MORAL LESSON: * Always appreciate what you are given, whether small or big. * Love is not all about how much we have, but its all about how we share the little we have. RELEVANCY. Have you ever taken time to thank God for what he has done for you? Many people only remember God when they have problems and once their problems are solved, they don't take time, to thank him or remain close to him. *READ THIS LINE* O God, i pray that you keep your providence towards me always and give me an appreciating heart so that i'll always be thankful to whatever you give me AMEN. Meet the girl who was kidnapped for 23 years

VIA Daily Mirror The snatched girl who solved her own case: Netty Nance was raised by her KIDNAPPER for 23 years Netty holds no long-term grudge against the woman who posed as her mother – and even says she would not want to change what happened in her life Meet the girl who was kidnapped for 23 years Eyevine / Splash Reunited: With her real parents in 2011; and abductor Ann (inset) Growing up in a strict but happy family with her younger brother, Netty Nance always looked to her mum for approval. She learned dance steps with her cousins, collapsing into fits of giggles when they missed a move, but proudly showing off the finished routines to their families and basking in the applause. A smile and a nod of appreciation from Ann, her strong and determined mother, meant the world to Netty, now 26. And it’s this kind of memory – dancing, laughter, family get-togethers – that she likes to recall from her childhood. Even though it was all based on a lie and a terrible crime. Because Ann was not her mother but her kid napper. Posing as a hospital nurse for several weeks, she snatched a 19-day-old baby from her cot then disappeared. MORE PHOTOS ON PAGE 2 BELOW She raised the child as her own for an incredible 23 years before detective work by Netty herself finally uncovered the truth. Now she has been reunited with her birth parents and Ann is serving a 12-year prison term for the kidnap. But Netty holds no long-term grudge against the woman who posed as her mother for so long – and even says she would not want to change what happened in her life. “I’m not mad at Ann any more,” she says. “I was, but only because she hid something from me for so long. "But I can appreciate what she did for me because, without her, I wouldn’t be as strong-minded and with the attitude to go out there and get what I want.” But it was this attitude, taken to criminal extremity, that made Ann abduct someone else’s baby in 1987. Splash 1987: Newspaper report of the kidnapping MORE PHOTOS ON PAGE 3 BELOW Netty’s real mum, Joy White, gave birth to her at 16. She and the father Carl Tyson, 22, were smitten with their baby and called her Carlina. But she developed a high fever and after 19 days had to be admitted to Harlem Hospital in New York. Joy and Carl went home to get some belongings and when Joy returned hours later the baby was nowhere to be seen. There was a huge police investigation and suspects were named, but the crime was never solved. Carl and Joy did recall a heavy-set nurse who consoled Joy about her sick child. This was Ann Pettway, who had spent so long on the maternity ward posing as a nurse that even the genuine staff believed she was one of them. As the hunt began for baby Carlina, Ann took her on the train back to her home in Connecticut. Her family thought she was pregnant but hadn’t seen her for many weeks. In fact she had suffered a miscarriage, one of several, and the fear she might never have a child prompted her to steal one. Splash Hunt: Wanted poster issued by New York police MORE PHOTOS ON PAGE 4 BELOW Little Carlina was renamed Nejdra Nance after her supposed father Robert Nance, a boyfriend of Ann’s. And after a move to Atlanta, Georgia, it became shortened to Netty. She remembers her childhood as a happy time. When she was 10, Ann had a baby boy called Trevon and Netty spent her time with her cousins and beloved Aunt Cassandra writing rap lyrics and learning dances. “I still look at them as my family,” she says. “People find that strange but when I think about my family I think about picnics and birthday parties because we did a lot of them. I have more good memories than bad from that time.” Netty has since learned that some relatives would gossip about the lack of resemblance between Ann and her daughter. And eventually she started wondering herself. “I got inquisitive. I started feeling like I didn’t fit in. I started asking questions and wondering why I didn’t have the same hands or feet as Ann.” When Netty was 16 she became pregnant with her own daughter Samani, who is now nine. “To register for free pre-natal care I had to have my birth certificate,” she recalls. But when she presented the document that Ann had given her she was shocked to be told it was a forgery. It was then that Ann sat Netty down to speak to her. “She was crying and I’d never see her cry,” recalls Netty. “She told me she was not my real mum and that I’d been born to a drug addict who left me with her.” Devastated, Netty pushed Ann for more information, but to no avail. She hated the fact that her grandmother, cousins and Aunt Cassandra were not the blood relatives she’d thought. “I remember going to them and thinking, ‘But we’re not related’. But then I told myself not to be silly because, related or not, they were still the same people to me.” After having her daughter in May 2005, Netty moved into her own place as a single mother. And as her curiosity grew, she searched constantly online for reports of missing children. It became a long search and it wasn’t until December 2010 when she found the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children’s website that everything fell into place. She recalls: “I saw a photo that looked just like my daughter Samani as a baby with dates that matched up. “I just went cold. I dragged the photo on to my desktop and showed it to my Aunt Cassandra. She wasn’t sure, but then the next day I looked again and I was positive.” Carlina called the National Centre, who arranged DNA tests on her and Joy and Carl. Before the results even came back she made contact with Joy, who had split from Carl. “Straight away there was a connection,” says Netty. “In January 2011 she paid for me and Samani to come to New York and I just knew she was my mum. Just knew. “We’d talk for hours. It wasn’t about anything negative – we’d just focus on the positives and catch up with each other I guess. We had a lot of that to do.” Barcroft Forgiving: Netty pictured in 2011 MORE PHOTOS ON PAGE 5 BELOW And finally, Netty could see parts of herself reflected in someone else. “We’d compare our hands, our legs. There were so many similarities.” Joy and Carl were overjoyed their daughter had been discovered but the reunion was not the fairytale it initially seemed. Netty struggled with the public interest in her “miracle”. While she never cried about it – “that’s a trait from Ann” – she spent an entire year hiding in a flat with Samani. “All I did for a year was read,” she says. “We’d go to the library every single day.” She changed her numbers and saw no one, not even friends, until she was ready. This was a hard time for Joy and Carl, she accepts, who felt as though their daughter was once again being taken away from them. “I just needed time to get my head figured out and that period helped me a lot. I learned a lot,” she says. There were basic decisions, such as whether she wanted to start calling herself Carlina. In the end I decided to stick with Netty,” she says. “Because that wasn’t a name given to me by anyone else – I gave that name to myself.” She has slowly re-established her relationship with her birth parents and sees Joy as her best friend. They speak every day. “We love to cook with each other, we love sitting and chatting and we are incredible close. “We finish each other’s sentences and we like the same foods and mirror each other’s gestures.” Meanwhile, after initially running away in panic, Ann handed herself in and in February 2012 admitted the kidnapping. “I went to the hospital. I took a child. It was wrong,” is all she said publicly before she was jailed. Splash The abductor: Ann with Netty not long after she snatched her from hospital MORE PHOTOS ON PAGE 5 BELOW Netty writes to Ann weekly but has not been to visit her in prison yet. “Will I visit her? I will sometime, but I don’t know when. And all I know of that first meeting is that it will be emotional. "I have a child myself and I know what Ann went through growing up and trying to have a child. I know she’s sorry for what she did, but she didn’t know how to stop it. How can she be so forgiving? “The thing is,” says Netty in her thick southern drawl. “If I had all that anger in me it would be me who would suffer and it would stop me from living. “So I let it go. And now I have two mums and two dads and my life is richer now because of that.” She works part-time on a radio show, and uses her experiences in an organisation she set up helping young people facing problems at home or school. “I feel as though everything happens for a reason and I wouldn’t have my brother, and all these people in my life. “I wouldn’t be me, if it wasn’t for what I’ve been through, and I’m happy. I wouldn’t change what happened to me.” via DAILY MIRROR

Why Men Cheat - Infidelity is a Necessary Evil?

Some men just love the chase and they have no idea how much they are hurting you. It also doesnt mean they love u any less." A few people agreed with the anonymous comment. I want to guess and say the comment is posted by a woman and maybe the supporters are women too. I wonder, does she really believe this? Does this kind of marriage work for some people? Does it make them happy, better human beings? The comment reminded me of an article that had gone round the interwebs earlier this year. Read and let's discuss... 1. Most Men cannot have s3x exclusively with just one woman, for the rest of their lives. 2. Men are created with varied s3xual appetite ,some men can do without s3x for a year, others cannot do without s3x for a week. 3. A man who's madly in love with one woman can still have s3x with other women but still love his 'woman'. READ MORE ON PAGE 2 BELOW 4. Some of the best husbands have concubines or mistresses, these extra marital affairs play a role in keeping the man sane and free of s3xual tensions, especially during mid-life crises. 5.I f your man is just having 3ex with some sweet s3xy teen or babe, DO NOT WORRY. But, if your man starts making midnight calls and exchanging text messages with another lady at odd hours, BE VERY WORRIED. 6. Before you choose your man, ensure he believes in AIDs, STDs and protected s3x. That way, chances are that he will not bring HIV and other STDs into your life. 7. Most chronic wife beaters are faithful husbands, they hardly have extramarital affairs. 8. Most 'extra' loving husbands have concubines, these concubines keep the man abreast on new ways of making women happy. READ 9 TO 11 ON PAGE 3 BELOW 9. Your man's mistress or concubine is most times not interested in you or your home. She has already seen your pictures and those of your kids via your hubby’s phone. She and your hubby just have a sexual understanding or partnership which helps both deal with peculiar individual issues. 10. As a woman, if you go all out in a bid to catch your husband red-handed cheating, you WILL succeed. Then what next? If u listen hard to your domestic servants in their private discussions, u will certainly hear them insult you, so why listen? 11. Judge your man by his responsibilities towards you and the kids, and NOT by who he's giving 'doggie style' to him in the office. Now, let me say that I know this is the reality for some women, and maybe the way they cope with the situation is by accepting it as the norm. In fact, some people will argue all day, supporting this write-up as true and realistic, but my question is, Who are we deceiving? How is this something to aspire to? Should we not try to do away with stuffs that are detrimental to us? Infidelity is bad. Promiscuity, which is what this write-up is basically condoning, is reprehensible. While consensual polygamy or serial monogamy might work, a relationship where infidelity or promiscuity is taken for granted is not a desirable one. No matter how much you think you can suppress your emotional side, any kind of betrayal hurts, and especially when it is from a man/woman you have decided to partner with for the rest of your life! A lot of women do learn to live with cheating men, but may be sad and unproductive in other ways, some will transfer their aggression to the other woman, or their colleagues and subordinates, or worse, on their children. My question is, if you find yourself in this scenario, why not face the genesis of your problems? The cheating and randy man? Do not swallow it, for it may kill you slowly emotionally if not physically. Before I round up, I have to point to the blatant fallacy in #7 - faithful husbands are wife beaters? What utter tosh! Quote me anywhere jare. Infidelity has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with men who are violent or not. One may even argue that since vices go together, an unfaithful man is more likely to be violent, including beating up their wives and children. But let's not conflate issues. Any man that wants to learn new s3xual stuff to please his wife, and the 'woman' he still supposedly loves, should read relevant books and well made instructional videos. If possible, watch it with the same woman. I think men who are promiscuous, and who think they can only release pressure through s3x with a prost1tute or mistress, are disrespectful, not just of women generally, but also themselves. The bottom-line is that there are various ways to decompress both for men and women. Hit the gym, take up golf, or football, or your favorite sport, go back to your childhood talents and passions - writing, drawing, painting, knitting, tinkering with electronics, etc. Also do things as a couple - stay indoors and gist, have s3x together regularly or as often as you can, go to the club and dance off your energy, go to plays and the movies, poetry and book readings, art showings, owambe parties and so on. Try to remember the early days or dating or courtship and recreate some of what you did. :) Rekindle your love and don't go looking for it when it's right there in your house.

Surgeons in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, removed the extra limbs April 11. The baby also suffers from pneumonia and congenital heart disease, according to the Global Times. His father, identified only as "Mr. Chen" by Chinese media outlets, told ImagineChina that he blames himself for his son's deformity. "I only cared about my work," he said. "I just thought of making money instead of taking her to the hospital for a medical checkup." Chen said that his wife had five routine examinations at local clinics during her pregnancy, but none indicated any abnormalities.

A family pastor in Iowa left his family and friends in deep sorrow and a state of "unbelief" last Thursday when he reportedly committed suicide, leaving behind a wife and two sons. While the local medical examiner's office did not reveal the cause of his death, they confirmed with The Christian Post on Tuesday that Pastor DB Antrim of Westwind Church in Waukee, Iowa, is dead. The church's lead pastor Brandon Barker, who just five weeks ago highlighted that the church had not lost a single member to death in its five year history, revealed in a heartbreaking message to the church on Sunday that Antrim had died by his own hands. "This is a kind of a defining moment for our church. It is a defining moment that will be remembered for as long as I live," explained Barker in the run-up to his comments. "It was only five weeks ago today that on this stage I read these words: 'In the five plus years of West Wind's existence, we have never experienced a funeral," he said breaking down. He then continued sharing the haunting message. (PHOTO: FACEBOOK/ALLISON SHERWOOD ANTRIM) Wife of deceased Pastor DB Antrim, Allison Sherwood Antrim (right) poses with one of her sons. "'I have imagined what that day is going to look like when the phone call comes that someone at West Wind has died. It is a painful thought because we are a worshipping community. And it's gonna affect so many of us, no matter who it is and how it happens, it will be a tragedy. One that will lay heavy on my heart. I do not look forward to that day,'" Barker recalled. He explained that it was particularly difficult to face Antrim's death last Thursday night, because just hours before they had sat down to discuss the message Antrim was expected to preach on Sunday. "I had no idea how horrific that day would be," said Barker on being forced to face the day he openly dreaded five weeks earlier. "On Thursday night at 5:30 in the evening, DB our friend, our family pastor, lay dead in front of my eyes taken at his own hands. Taking his own life, and since then my life has been a whirlwind. His family's life has been a whirlwind. The church has been a whirlwind. And in the midst of this is a raging sea of emotions," he revealed. "As I saw him the first feeling that I had was anguish. I was completely destroyed. Sadness is not even close to the word that described how I felt. … [It] was as if I was watching myself…what in the world is going on? How could this happen?" he asked. (PHOTO: FACEBOOK/DB ANTRIM) The young sons left behind by Pastor DB Antrim. Other friends and family poured out messages of love and support on the Facebook page of his wife, Allison Sherwood Antrim. "My heart is with you and your boys! I am praying for you and William and Graham. I love you. You all are family to me. May the Spirit of God be raining down on you and may His love overwhelm you!" wrote Amanda Kliora. "There are no words....only prayers. So thankful the Lord promises to be near to the brokenhearted. He will walk beside you every step of the way. Many, many, many prayers being lifted up on your behalf," noted Nancy Barnes McDonaugh. Antrim was described in a Des Moines Register report as a generous, committed person who was always telling jokes. Ashleigh Wright, 23, who worked directly with Antrim in the church's the youth ministry, said he was "just a fun person to be around." The church held a memorial service in Antrim's honor on Tuesday. Why I poisoned my groom – 14-year-old bride speaks

A 14-year-old bride, Wasila Umar, who allegedly killed her 35-year-old groom, Umar Sani and three other persons in Yansoro Kademi village of Gaya local government area of Kano state, has said that she smeared rat poison on her groom’s food because she was forced to marry him. It was gathered that after her husband ate the poisoned dinner with three others, they all died. It was learnt that while the husband and two others died less than an hour after eating the food, the fourth, a girl who also ate, died at Gaya General Hospital the very next day. However, ten out of the 14 persons that ate from the poisoned food survived. Wasila got married to Late Umar Sani who was a trader based in Gaya, two weeks ago. Before his marriage to Waslia, late Sani had a wife and two children. In the tradition of the Yansoro Kademi people, a newly wedded wife is not allowed to cook for a month, an aspect a senior wife takes care of during the period. “It was during this period that the first wife cooked a local dish, ‘Dan-Wake’, and served it to the husband,” a neighbor said. He further added that while the husband was in his room, the new wife sneaked into the sitting room and smeared rat poison on the food. It was also revealed that, when the groom came in, he took the food outside, was joined by 13 others and after eating the meal, they started complaining of severe stomach pain. “As villagers we don’t usually like eating alone, therefore he brought out the food and ate with his neighbors, then gave the remnants to Nasiru Muhammad who is an Almajiri and also a local spaghetti hawker, Hindatu Ibrahim, aged 13. “Within a very short period, the husband and two others died. The young girl was rushed to Gaya general hospital where she later died,” he said. As a result of the sudden death of the trio, the villagers reported the case to Gaya divisional police station and both wives were detained and interrogated, after which the new wife confessed. At the Kano State police headquarters, Bompai, Wasila told Weekly Trust how it happened. “When my father told me that I should marry Umar Sani, I told him I don’t love the man but he refused. Before our marriage I told him again, he beat me up and said I must marry him. So after our wedding I started thinking of what to do and the idea of rat poison came to me. I went to the village market and bought it for N80, returned home and hid it. When our husband’s food was served in the sitting room, I went there and spread the poison over it,” she said, explaining that it was not meant for the other 13 others who were just victims of circumstance. “I did not mean to kill my husband, but rather wanted to show him that I have no feelings for him. I thought after eating it, he will divorce me and I will return to my father’s house,” she concluded. However, when contacted, her father, Mohammed Tasiu , aged 50, denied his daughter’s claim. “I didn’t collect a kobo from the deceased. She was the one that brought him to us as her choice. Before him she has brought two other persons to us but later told us she doesn’t love them and that was why when she brought Umar Sani we allowed her to marry him,” he said. Parading her, the spokes person of Kano State Police Command, ASP Magaji Musa Majiya, identified the rat poison used by Wasila as ‘rodenticides’. He said a total of 14 persons ate the food but that only four died. “The suspect has since confessed to the act and claimed that she did it because she doesn’t love her husband. Corpses were taken to hospital for examination. Investigation is in top gear,” he said.-

Signs and symptoms that may come with HIV infection. Once you see them, please, run for HIV TEST

One in five people in the United States with HIV doesn’t know they have it, which is why it’s so important to get tested, especially if you have unprotected sex with more than one partner or use intravenous drugs. Here are some signs that you may be HIV-positive. Fever One of the first signs of ARS can be a mild fever, up to about 102 degrees F. The fever, if it occurs at all, is often accompanied by other usually mild symptoms, such as fatigue, swollen lymph glands, and a sore throat. “At this point the virus is moving into the blood stream and starting to replicate in large numbers,” says Carlos Malvestutto, MD, instructor of infectious diseases and immunology in the department of medicine at NYU School of Medicine in New York City. “As that happens, there is an inflammatory reaction by the immune system.” Fatigue The inflammatory response generated by your besieged immune system also can cause you to feel tired and lethargic. Fatigue can be both an early and later sign of HIV. Ron, 54, a public relations executive in the Midwest, started to worry about his health when he suddenly got winded just walking. “Everything I did, I got out of breath,” he says. “Before that I had been walking three miles a day.” Ron had tested HIV positive 25 years before feeling so tired; fatigue during acute, or newly contracted, HIV might not be so obvious. Achy muscles, joint pain, swollen lymph nodes ARS is often mistaken for the flu, mononucleosis, or another viral infection, even syphilis or hepatitis. That’s not surprising: Many of the symptoms are the same, including pain in the joints and muscles and swollen lymph glands. Lymph nodes are part of your body’s immune system and tend to get inflamed when there’s an infection. Many of them are located in your armpit, groin, and neck. Sore throat and headache As with other symptoms, sore throat and headache can often be recognized as ARS only in context, Dr. Horberg says. If you’ve engaged recently in high-risk behavior, an HIV test is a good idea. Get tested for your own sake and for others: HIV is most infectious in the earliest stage. Keep in mind that the body hasn’t produced antibodies to HIV yet so an antibody test may not pick it up. (It can take a few weeks to a few months for HIV antibodies to show in a blood test). Investigate other test options such as one that detects viral RNA, typically within nine days of infection. Skin rash Skin rashes can occur early or late in the course of HIV/AIDS. For Ron, this was another sign that he might not have run-of-the-mill allergies or a cold. “They were like boils, with some itchy pink areas on my arms,” Ron says. The rashes can also appear on the trunk of the body. “If [the rashes] aren’t easily explained or easily treated, you should think about having an HIV test,” Dr. Horberg says. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea Anywhere from 30% to 60% of people have short-term nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea in the early stages of HIV, Dr. Malvestutto says. These symptoms can also appear as a result of antiretroviral therapy and later in the infection, usually as the result of an opportunistic infection. “Diarrhea that is unremitting and not responding at all to usual therapy might be an indication,” Dr. Horberg says. Or symptoms may be caused by an organism not usually seen in people with healthy immune systems, he adds. Weight loss Once called “AIDS wasting,” weight loss is a sign of more advanced illness and could be due in part to severe diarrhea. “If you’re already losing weight, that means the immune system is usually fairly depleted,” Dr. Malvestutto says. “This is the patient who has lost a lot of weight even if they continue to eat as much as possible. This is late presentation. We still see a lot of these.” It has become less common, however, thanks to antiretroviral therapy. A person is considered to have wasting syndrome if they lose 10% or more of their body weight and have had diarrhea or weakness and fever for more than 30 days, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Dry cough A dry cough was the first sign Ron had that something was wrong. He at first dismissed it as bad allergies. But it went on for a year and a half—and kept getting worse. Benadryl, antibiotics, and inhalers didn’t fix the problem. Neither did allergists. This symptom—an “insidious cough that could be going on for weeks that doesn’t seem to resolve,” Dr. Malvestutto says—is typical in very ill HIV patients. Pneumonia The cough and the weight loss may also presage a serious infection caused by a germ that wouldn’t bother you if your immune system was working properly. “There are many different opportunistic infections and each one can present differently,” Dr. Malvestutto says. In Ron’s case, it was Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP), aka “AIDS pneumonia,” which eventually landed him in the hospital. Other opportunistic infections include toxoplasmosis, a parasitic infection that affects the brain; a type of herpes virus called cytomegalovirus; and yeast infections such as thrush. Night sweats About half of people get night sweats during the early stages of HIV infection, Dr. Malvestutto says. These can be even more common later in infection and aren’t related to exercise or the temperature of the room. Similar to the hot flashes that menopausal women suffer, they’re also hard to dismiss, given that they soak your bedclothes and sheets

Twins Who Have Different Fathers--AMAZING!!!

Twins Marcus and Lucas arrived in the world just 48 minutes apart... yet they have two different fathers. Mum Charlotte Hilbrandt became pregnant by ex-husband Michael AND new boyfriend Tommy when she slept with both men within 48 hours. It means the boys, who turned six last week, are one of only three known sets of twins in the world who are genetic half-brothers, beating odds of a billion to one.

WATCH VIDEO ON NEXT PAGE CLICK 2 BELOW “You have a bigger chance of winning the lottery than something like this happening,” said 38-year-old Charlotte. She is the first to admit her boys are like chalk and cheese. Cheeky Marcus, her son by Michael, is short and stout, red-haired with bundles of energy. His twin Lucas, her son by Tommy, is taller, blonde and has a more gentle, calm manner. Even more surprisingly, both dads are very much a part of their lives and Charlotte says they are one big happy family. The story of the twins’ bizarre conception began after Charlotte, who already had two sons by Michael Nielsen, divorced him in August 2004. “After we split up I started to go out a bit more,” said Charlotte. “One evening in the bar this handsome blond man called Tommy Kallehauge came over. We got on well and began to see each other.” But Michael had always hoped to get back together with Charlotte and in the heat of the moment they ended up in bed together on New Year’s Day Worried she might jeopardise her fledgling relationship with Tommy, Charlotte kept quiet about what had happened. “The incident with Michael had been a one-off and I was determined it would stay that way, ” she said. But Charlotte’s moment of madnesscame back to haunt her when a few months later, feeling sick and bloated, she went to the doctor. “He confirmed what I had been dreading… that I was pregnant,” she said. “But that wasn’t all. I was expecting twins.” With her emotions all over the place Charlotte decided honesty was the best policy but faced the agonising task of telling both men they could be the twins’ father. “It was a very chaotic period,” she said. “Michael was hoping two more children would bring us back together while Tommy had always wanted a family and was desperate for the twins to be his.” Michael was with her when the boys arrived on August 23, 2005. Lucas was born first at 1.35pm followed 48 minutes later by Marcus at 2.23pm. “We’d already had two children together, and Michael had been very involved in my life while I was pregnant,” said Charlotte. “It only seemed fair that he should be the one in the room with me.” But within weeks of the twins’ birth, Charlotte soon realised the boys were hardly two peas in a pod. “Marcus was red-haired with a tiny nose and looked like my two elder boys, Phillip and Victor. “Lucas was blond with soft facial features and a long head, just like Tommy’s. “But having twins is so overwhelming I hardly had time or the energy to deal with the fact that they probably had different fathers and what that might mean to Tommy, Michael and me. “However, it was pretty obvious, and my mother was the first person to say what we were all thinking. The boys were just a couple of weeks old when she said,‘They don’t look alike.’ And that was it.” Despite what had happened Tommy, 33, and Charlotte got back together and six months after the twins’ birth they decided to move in together. A short while later, Tommy bumped into Michael in a pub in their home town of Aalbaek in Denmark. Over a pint the two men cleared the air to ensure both could be part of the boys’ lives. Yet it wasn’t until the twins were one year old that Charlotte, Tommy and Michael were ready to take a DNA test to find out for certain that the boys had different fathers. A few weeks later, the answer arrived in the post. The test proved the twins did indeed have different dads, stating: “The results do not imply that the children Lucas Hilbrandt Nielsen and Marcus Hilbrandt Nielsen have the same biological father. The probability of this preclusion exceeds 99.99 per cent.” Charlotte said: “Even though it was what we had all suspected, it was still strange to get the answer. We didn’t exactly jump with joy, neither were we unhappy. “Most of all it was a relief to get things straight so we could all start making our arrangements for the boys.” It was never in question that both dads wanted to be there for their sons. And it led Tommy, Charlotte and Michael to have the boys christened. The church went completely quiet when the vicar named Marcus “Nielsen” after his father Michael, and Lucas “Kallehauge” after his father Tommy. Charlotte said: “Friends and family have been very supportive about the situation and there have been no raised eyebrows in the community probably because we have been so open about the situation all along. Michael’s three boys Phillip 12, Victor, eight, and Marcus spend every other weekendwith him and sometimes Michael will take Lucas too. All four boys get on well and Michael and Tommy consider themselves friends. “A lot of people say we’re liars… that you can’t have twins with different fathers,” said Charlotte. “That’s why we want to tell our story. It’s because something like this only has happened a few times in history.” The science is easy.. but Mamma Mia, try telling the men! By DR VIRGINIA BECKETT of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists I have never come across a case like this. But if a woman is going to sleep with more than one partner at the same time it is perfectly feasible that if she has twins they could have different fathers. In this case these twins were conceived at the same time even though the mother did not have s*x with the fathers at the same time. The sperm from the first man would have been in her fallopian tube, where it is effective for three to four days. Then she had s*x with the second man and released two eggs. The eggs, which live for 24 hours, were fertilised by different sperm from the different men. The science is easily explained, but it may have been less easy for the mother to explain. It’s like the plot of Mamma Mia! VIA dailymirror.co.uk ALSO
Woman discovers her twin sons have DIFFERENT fathers on the Maury Show

It takes a lot to shock Maury Povich.
But the talk show host admitted that even he couldn't believe it when a woman came on the show to prove her ex-boyfriend was the father of her twins - only to find that he was the father of just one of them. Sperm are capable of waiting in the fallopian tubes for between three and five days, while the ovum may only survive a matter of hours if fertilization does not occur. The fertilization time window is relatively narrow, particularly if sperm from two different males must arrive. Given the single-pair reproduction strategy employed by most people, these criteria are very rarely met. There are between seven and ten documented cases in medical literature about twins with different fathers.

In rare instances when twins are conceived by different fathers, it's called heteropaternal superfecundation, which occurs when two or more of a woman's eggs are fertilized by different men within the same ovulation period. Before the results were read out, Alejandrina promised that she had not slept with anyone else while she was with Jose and broke down in tears when the truth came out. He said his ex was a 'party girl' and said the test results proved she was a 'whore'. Jose said he would take responsibility for the one child while Povich told Alejandrina that they would do another paternity test if she was able to find the father of her second child. In May 2009, Mia Washington from Texas also gave birth to twins with different fathers. She and her fiancé ordered a paternity test when they noticed the twins had very different features. How long after giving birth should I wait before having s3x?

You’ll be sore, not to mention exhausted. Up to 90% of first-time mothers who deliver vaginally will have torn tissue or an episiotomy (a small cut). If you’ve had a caesarean section your wound will hurt. Women used to be given vag1nal examinations at this point to assess healing but research showed the practice was not useful (most were fine) and it was abandoned. A study in BJOG:An International Obstetrics and Gynaecology Journal, found that by six weeks 41% of first-time mothers had had vag1nal s3x. By 12 weeks this had risen to 78%. Women were more likely to have s3x by six weeks if they had delivered their child vag1nally. Only about a third of women who had an episiotomy had resumed s3x by six weeks. Studies have showed an earlier return to s3x, with many women (even those who had episiotomies) having vag1nal s3x after two to four weeks. A paper in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology remarked that while women who had had stitches experienced some bleeding and discomfort they “do not experience important harm”. So are there any reasons why you shouldn’t start having s3x again if you feel like it?
The solution
CONTINUE ON NEXT PAGE CLICK BELOW There is some evidence that it may be best to wait three weeks. When the placenta comes out it leaves a wound in the uterus which takes time to heal. The blood vessels in this wound close up naturally by the blood clotting and the vessels themselves shrinking, but this takes at least three weeks. Penetrative s3x can potentially introduce air into your vag1na with enough force that it can get pushed into these still blood vessels. This causes an air embolus which can be lethal but is rare: the Postgraduate Journal of Medicine reports two deaths from air emboli out of two million new mothers from 1967‑1993. The researchers warn that s3x in the knees-up-to-the chest position creates a pressure gradient that can draw air into the vessels. Waiting may have other benefits. S3x after a baby may be disappointing, owing to tiredness and loss of libido. A study in the British Journal of General Practice in 2000 found that out of 78 first-time mothers, only 30 ranked their s3x life as good eight months after giving birth, compared with 65 who had done so beforehand. So, it is worth realising that after having a baby both the quantity and quality of s3x may take a while to return to whatever was previously normal for you.
